Observed each year on the first Friday of December in the City of Florence, Arbor Day was celebrated today, December 5, with the planting of a Claudia Wannamaker Southern Magnolia at Dr. Iola Jones Park. We extend our appreciation to Duke Energy for their continued partnership in our annual Arbor Day Ceremony and for their generous donation of $2,000 to help fund this year’s tree.
